we were getting a cab somewhere far. halfway through the long drive, i leaned my head on your shoulder and we fell asleep. then we decided not to go to the far place after all, but the cabbie said we'd have to pay him the 80 dollars anyway. so we figured we'd stay in the cab for our allotted time. we got him to pull into the parking lot of the sydney shopping center, piled high with snowdrifts, and snuggled in the back of the cab as the muffly quiet snow fell all around.

i was singing a song, it was awesome (i can't remember it now) but it was OUR song, and you said you never used to like it, but now that you had your old job back, you liked it very much.

it was very warm and cozy.
